Paint Everyday
Alfonso Juarez is a 27 year old, Mexican-American, visual artist whose work spans mediums including acrylic, pastels, and clothing design.
Coming of age in Los Angeles, Alfonso spent his free time exploring the city via it’s Metro line, making a point to get to know each stop and drawing inspiration from the many, diverse, neighborhoods which helped introduce him to his passions in life - music, sports, and cartoons. All the while, exploring various creative interests and honing his aesthetic eye.
When he rediscovered and committed to visual arts in his adulthood, he brought with him decades of deep pop culture knowledge and a desire to examine the individual’s role within society. Throughout his art Alfonso subverts well known symbols, weaving together his early interests with expression of his Mexican identity as well as commentary on politics and philosophy.
